North Shore BMW and MINI Garage Showroom Launch

The idea

With a newly renovated showroom recently completed the time was right for North Shore BMW and MINI Garage to showcase not only their beautiful 2 storey space but also some super sexy and super cool vehicles to compliment their new home. Unlike many car launches where people are mostly moving amongst the cars, chatting to each other and the representatives awaiting the reveal of a car/s, this client wanted the night to be fun, interactive, different, a real night to remember. So that’s what we created…..

The idea turned into reality

Over a 2 hour timeframe, while guests certainly did enjoy some beautiful cars such as the X1, 3 series, 7 series, Wallaby X6 and 5 series on the ground floor and the MINI Countryman, Classic MINI, i8, M5, 7 series and 6 series on the first floor the venue was alive with elements that touched all the 5 senses.

As guests arrived at the basement level, the valet service was in operation ensuring the guests experience was first class from the moment they arrived. A Hollywood style entrance greeted our guests as they made their way up the “blue carpet” flanked by beautiful silver ropes, bollards and BMW and MINI moving lights.

Whether the guests choose to exit the lift on the ground or first floor the visual delights were everywhere. Graceful dancing orbs in blue’s and white’s and orange and reds, stunning moveable feast performers in glittering corsets, gorgeous floral arrangements individually designed especially for the launch and more Hollywood style branded lighting filled the venue.

With the ground floor reflecting the style and sophistication of the BMW brand and the first floor a mix of super cool and trendy reflecting the MINI brand and class and elegance for the special vehicles section, guests felt like they were moving from one world to another as the theming elements were reflected in each area.

Branded mirrored bars on each level helped serve guests a selection of beverages all the while continuing on with the respective themes.

DJ Soul Patrol created a super cool vibe with tunes on the first floor in the MINI area while guests on the ground floor in the BMW area where treated to a more elegant audio selection.

The catering throughout the evening was nothing short of spectacular both visually and to the palette. With tasty morsels such as Greek Salad Poppers containing Feta cheese and handmade Kalamata olive crumbs, BBQ pulled pork on coffee crisp with sweet BBQ sauce and pickle gel, Wagyu beef sliders with sharp cheddar, caramelized onions and secret sauce and Thai prawn and coconut tacos made with betel leaves, tamarind and Thai sweet & sour, just to name a few the taste sensation was endless. The highlight to the catering was certainly the live and interactive dessert station complete with liquid nitrogen!

With formalities taking place centre stage on the ground floor guests were treated to appearances from past and present Wallabies players as well as Biggest Looser super star, Shannon Ponton.

The highlight of the evening was the surprise performance by the Undercover Tenors, so secretly planned not even the dealer principal knew they were performing.  Guests were blown away not only by the surprise of their performance but by their amazing vocal talents.


The Outcome

To say the guests were blown away would be an understatement. Their every sense was delighted and their memories unique and lasting.

For the team at North Shore BMW and MINI Garage it was as stated by them “The best event they’ve ever had”. They were able to relax and socialise with the 150+ guests feeling comfortable in the knowledge that the team at Urban Event Management had not only met their brief, they had exceeded it.
