Evolve Salons Conference and Awards for Excellence
The idea
There is currently no major player in the Hair and Beauty Salon space. Evolve Salons Ltd intends to be the first and as such needed a platform to bring their staff and suppliers together for their inaugural event before launching on the ASX this year.
The idea turned into reality
It was important to Evolve to create an amazing 2 day event that contained information sharing, product knowledge, fun, reward and recognition.
Urban Event Management offered an end to end service through the development of an online event website, registration and awards nomination database, creation in conjunction with Evolve of 2 days of interactive content, both casual and formal social functions and most importantly reward and recognition of their staff from around Australia at an awards dinner.
With their head office in Brisbane, The Novotel Hotel Brisbane was the perfect location and with flights and transfers (despite a cyclone threatening to hamper plans) arranged for both interstate and local attendee’s, the scene was set for an informative, idea exchanging, social event.
A trade display was created over the 2 days where suppliers could connect with salon staff, update them with product knowledge and create new relationships. Involving the suppliers in the conference sessions themselves, created fun interaction and an important educational component.
The Outcome
The awards required wow factor and fun and that’s exactly what the 150 guests experienced. Developed through a VIP red carpet entrance, creative lighting, beautiful table centrepieces, a visual display of hair and fashion through a parade, an excellent emcee and music that got all guests on the dance floor, the importance of the awards ceremony was achieved and guests were able to enjoy socialising with each other and celebrating their collective achievements and the direction Evolve Salons is heading, all the way to the top of the ASX!
For the staff and suppliers who attended they were able to connect with each other through the valuable medium of face to face experiences. For the Evolve head office team and board of directors, they were given the ability to develop relationships with their wider team, educate their people on the direction of the business and get them engaged with the journey to Innovate, Educate and Inspire.
